Questions about exposed aggregate cleaning
What does the post-treatment do?
The post-treatment removes ingrained organic growth from within the surface.
Once I’ve cleaned and rinsed the area, I can see whether it needs the treatment.
Will cleaning remove every mark?
Cleaning removes dirt and organic growth, but it cannot repair damage or reverse existing wear. Sometimes the dirt hides damage, so you may notice it once the surface is clean.
Oil, rust and bore-water staining are different from general dirt. If you have those marks, include photos when you request your quote so I can quote the additional treatment.
What do I need to do before you arrive?
Please move furniture, pot plants and other items off the area you want cleaned so I can reach the whole surface.
There is no need to sweep or wash it first. Loose leaves and debris will be cleared as part of the pressure cleaning.
Do I need to be home?
No. I just need access to the area you want cleaned and to your water supply.
If the area is behind a gate or down the side of the house, please make sure I can get through when I arrive. You can leave the cleaning to me while you are out.
What happens if you are cleaning around a pool?
Dirt and debris will get into the pool as I clean the surrounding surface. Please allow for the pool to be cleaned afterwards.
You can clean the pool yourself or arrange for a pool cleaner to come after I have finished. If you are booking a pool cleaner, schedule that visit after the pressure cleaning.
When can I use the area again?
Let the surface dry before using the area again. If I have applied a post-treatment, keep pets off the treated area until it is dry.
Drying time depends on the weather and how quickly that part of your property dries. Go by the surface being dry rather than a set number of hours.
How often should I have it cleaned?
Whenever you feel it needs a clean. There is no fixed schedule that suits every property.
How quickly it gets dirty depends on where the surface is, how wet it gets and how readily it dries. An area that stays wet may need cleaning again sooner than one that dries quickly.
Are oil, rust and bore stains included?
Oil stain removal and rust and bore-water stain removal are additional services, quoted separately from the standard surface clean. Send photos of any stains when requesting your quote.
